Accommodation

Stanton House is a beautiful old 3-storey building with two communal lounges, a large dining room, and a comfortable hall where guests can relax and chat in front of the wood burner.

The house has 3 single bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms (each with 2 single beds) and 4 double bedrooms.

For group bookings, we can sleep up to 15 guests providing they are happy to share a twin or double room.

One of our single rooms is situated on the ground floor and is available for guests who struggle with mobility.

Of the 9 bedrooms, three have en-suite facilities. The remaining rooms have their own dedicated shower/bathrooms for personal use which are situated just across the landings from the bedrooms. All bedrooms have a wash basin, comfy chair and a writing desk. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Dining

Meal times at Stanton House are shared around tables with other guests, or they can be taken at separate tables for those wishing for a silent retreat. Those who are part of a group will be seated at their own table in order to relax or continue with the business of the day.

Whilst our meals are fresh, simple and wholesome, we are able to cater for medical dietary requirements when requested before arrival.

  • Breakfast: On each floor of the house there is a small kitchenette with a fridge, kettle and toaster. Being aware that many of our guests come for rest and recuperation, a continental style breakfast is provided in the kitchenettes to enjoy at leisure. Cereals, yoghurts, fruit, toast, tea and coffee are replenished daily. Group breakfasts are served in the dining room at 8:30am.

  • Morning coffee: Each bedroom has a small kettle with teas, coffees and milk, as well as biscuits for guests to enjoy mid-morning. Alternatively, morning coffee is served with biscuits at 10:30am downstairs in the coffee area.

  • Lunch: Our 2 course lunch is at 12:30pm and is the main meal of the day. Sunday lunch is served at 12:45pm to allow guests time to go to church should they wish.

  • Afternoon tea: Afternoon tea and cake is served in the coffee area downstairs at 3:30pm.

  • Supper: A light supper of soup, bread, yoghurts and fruit, is served in the dining room at 6.00pm after which tea and coffee is available - followed by evening devotions.
